JAMMU, May 1: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed former CMD, Power Grid Corporation of India, Dr R P Singh as full time Executive Chairman and Director on the Board of Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Ltd (JKPCL).
The appointment of new Executive Chairman and Director has been made for three years from the date of assumption of the office, extendable by two years and may be terminable with one month notice on either side. Total remuneration of Dr Singh has been fixed as Rs 7 lakhs per month including allowances.
This post of the Executive Chairman will be equivalent to that of Secretary to the Government of India. He will directly report to the Lt Governor of J&K UT through the Power Development Department regarding his areas of duties /activities, an official order said.
