POONCH, Mar 3: Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur, a unit of “The Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation”, actively participated in Poonch -Rajouri Medical Mission Camp.
The week-long camp, which concluded on Saturday, mission doctors of different specialities participated. Dr Ankur Goel, Sr Ophthalmic Consultant & Medical Director of Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur and his team, headed by D N Sharma, Chairman of the Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation, actively participated at Mendhar, Mandi and Surankot.
This mission was organized by the active support of UT Health Department of J & K and Rotary International. At Mendhar , 84 surgeries were performed while at Mandi and Surankot, 89 and 78 surgeries, respectively were performed by Dr Ankur Goel, Dr Anand Khadake and Dr Sameer Raskar.
Out of total 251 surgeries, 163 surgeries were performed by Dr Ankur Goel with Phacoemulsification system which was 1st of its kind in Poonch district and balance 88 surgeries were performed by Dr Anand Khadake & Dr Sameer Raskar from Pune Maharashtra.
