REASI, Aug 11: A middle aged woman and her two nephews were killed while her two sons were critically injured when they were hit by a rolling boulder in Mahore area of Reasi district, here today.
The deceased reportedly died on the spot while one of the injured has been airlifted to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu in view of his critical condition.
The incident took place this afternoon around 4 pm at village Lar in tehsil Mahore when the victims were working in the field near their house.
The deceased were identified as Mahtabi Begum (55), wife of Gulla, her nephews Abdul Latif (25) and Bashir Ahmad (37), both sons of Abdul Ahad. They were virtually buried alive under the massive boulder, which rolled down from a nearby mountain.
Nawab Din (24) and Shabbir Ahmad (27), both sons of Mehtabi Begum, also fell victim to the rolling boulder. Both of them were shifted to hospital where Nawab Din was airlifted to GMC Jammu in view of his critical injuries.
Injured Nawab Din is a Government employee, presently working at DC office Reasi.
