‘Rohingya’ arrested, fake Aadhar, Ration Card seized in Mendhar

POONCH, Oct 6: A Rohingya Muslim refugee, hailing from Myanmar was today arrested by police in Mendhar area of district Poonch and fake Indian Aadhar Card and Ration Card were recovered from his possession.
A police spokesman said that 35-year-old Mohd Noman, son of Mohib Ullah, hailing from Myanmar and presently residing with fake identity at Dhar Galoon in Balakote area of Mendhar, was arrested by police.
He was living in the house of a local villager Nazir Hussain, son of Mohd Yousuf of Dhar Galoon and had married to the daughter of Nazir Hussain. He entered into criminal conspiracy with some concerned government employees and managed to prepare Aadhar and Ration Cards.
The Police registered a case FIR No. 117/2023 at Police Station Gursai and started investigation. Some more arrests are expected shortly, the police said.
