RNWA’s concern over conversion of community center into club

JAMMU, June 26: Roop Nagar JDA Housing Colony Welfare Association (RNWA) today expressed strong resentment over the Government’s proposal to convert the community center of the area into club.
The issue came up for discussion during a meeting of the association held under the presidentship of Uttam Deep Sharma. While speaking on the occasion speakers criticized the Government for its proposed move to convert the community hall of the area into club that too against the will of the residents of the Colony.
The meeting urged the Government to do away with any such proposal and warned of launching a strong agitation if any step is taken to convert this community hall into a club.
The speakers further said that if authorities want to construct a club in the colony, it should be at some separate place and away from colony like other clubs of Jammu.
Others present in the meeting were Mulkh Raj Sharma, Gulabh Chand Bhagat, JN Ralli, Bal Krishan Sharma, Nand Lal Bhat, Anuj Anand and Jyoti Khajuria.
