JAMMU, Sept 6: The elections of Raghunath Bazar Traders Association is being held on September 16, 2012.
A spokesman of the Association said that elections for the posts of office bearers of the businessmen body, including president was delayed as accounts of the association during working body meeting could not be approved on August 24. As per the constitution of the Association approval/ passage of accounts is mandatory before the conduct of Annual General Meeting and election procedure.
He pointed out that the delay in elections was also caused due to non-cooperative activities of some members but now the accounts have been approved and the elections for the new body will be held on September 16. Jugal Mahajan is the Election Commissioner. There are total 292 members of the body. The polling will commence at around 10.30 am and the results will also be announced on the same day, he added.
