UDHAMPUR, May 3: Villagers of Ritti today protested against PHE Department for no supply of drinking water to the area for the last several days.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PHE Department and threatened to block the main road if the water supply is not restored immediately.
“There has been no supply of drinking water and despite the fact that the concerned authorities are well aware of the problems being faced by us, no action is being taken,” they rued.
Due to no supply of drinking water, the villagers are dependent on the natural sources with the result that children and elderly people are catching infection because of contaminated water being consumed, they added.
