SRINAGAR, June 25: Rich tributes were today paid to a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer, who was martyred in a militant attack at Pantha Chowk on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
Official sources said CRPF paid a befitting tribute to the martyred officer, Sub Inspector Sahab Shukla, who laid down his life yesterday, in a militant attack on CRPF vehicles at Pantha Chowk on Srinagar outskirts.

Tributes to the valour and sacrifice of the late SI were paid in a solemn ceremony held at Recruitment Training Centre (RTC) of CRPF at Humhama in the central Kashmir district of Budgam.
Senior CRPF, police and civil officers, including Director General of Police SP Vaid and Chief Secretary BB Vyas paid floral tributes to the martyred officer.
SI Shukla, a resident of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, is survived by his wife and children.
The body of the officer has been flown to New Delhi from where it will be sent to his native place for last rites, they added.
