Review decision on HC shifting, Registry: PCC

JAMMU, Nov 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has asked the Government to immediately review its decisions regarding transfer of registration powers to Revenue authorities from Judicial authorities and proposed shifting of High Court Complex to Bahu Game reserves.
In a press statement here JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has said that there is justifiable logic behind these moves which have greater implications from various aspects. The registration system prevalent in the past for decades is for better than many other parts of the country and working well without any demand from any quarters to disturb the same.
There are genuine apprehensions in the minds of legal fraternity and general public regarding the new system and especially in Jammu and Kashmir where there is rampart corruption in the process by the revenue authorities.
The proposed shifting of High Court building is also not advisable and an avoidable wasteful expenditure apart from destroying precious environment reserve.
Meanwhile, Congress would hold protest March at District levels and Capital City Jammu against the economic situation in the country, which have adversely affected every citizen.
Ravinder Sharma said that district level protests in various districts shall be held on November 11, 2019 while the Provincial protest shall be held in Jammu on Nov 14 after paying tributes to first Prime Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.
The party shall highlight to worsen economic situation in the Country leading to highest ever unemployment rate, unprecedented price hike and farmers distress due to flawed policies of BJP Govt during past 6 years. The reserves of RBI are getting depleted as a result the gold reserve is being auctioned. The protests shall also invite the other burning issues facing the country and the society.
