JAMMU, Apr 30: Chairman, J&K State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Ravi Kesar today inaugurated Plastic Bottles Vending Machine called Reverse Vending Machine at Jammu Airport.
The first of its kind in North India, the machine has been installed by State Pollution Control Board for scientific disposal of the Pet Bottles which otherwise is the great source of plastic waste and difficult to dispose off.
The bottles will be crushed in the machine and plastic thread will be made from the crushed material which will be used for weaving clothes.
Member Secretary, J&K SPCB, BM Sharma and Ranjan, Director, Jammu Airport Authority, attended the inaugural function.
