JAMMU, Dec 27: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today said that return of displaced Pandits to their previous locations in the Valley is impossible under prevailing circumstances and political scenario in Kashmir.
Reacting to the statement of Minister of Medical Education, Sports and Technical Education, R S Chib at a meeting here today KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri said that sufism and secularism in the Valley has since been hijacked by the fundamentalists and political demands of various separatist and so-called secular organizations like, Azadi, autonomy, self-rule has completely marginalized the scope of KPs return to the Valley.
He said as per the survey, majority number of KPs would like to return only after the settlement of Kashmir issue, however carving out a consolidated place at the “land of Kashyap” in Kashmir with writ of Indian Constitution and restoration of all basic rights and privileges to KPs can be viable solution for the resettlement of displaced KPs in the Valley.
He further said that lollypop policy and other scheming of Government towards KP’s return would not help to their return module.
M L Raina, vice president KPC, Dr. H L Saraf general secretary KPC, R L Raina, its secretary KPC, Sushil Bhat, organizing secretary KPC and others also spoke in the meeting and expressed dismay over the Government’s delaying tactics on enhancement of relief.
