This has reference to the news item ‘Pargwal villagers protest’ DE Feb 21.
It is very disgusting that the Pakistan authorities have not yet handed over the dead body of Chamel Singh to his family members after he was slain by them.
It is a violation of human rights and against religious tenets of people belonging to any faith.
Recently Indian Army returned the corpse of a Pakistan jawan who too had intruded into this side of border.
The Government of India should raise this matter with the concerned authorities in Pakistan and stress for returning the body. His family members are in a state of grief and shock. They need to be consoled. They can overcome this grief only when at least they could perform his last rites.
