ReTs threaten to lock out schools if Govt fails to solve salary issue

JAMMU, May 20: ReT Teachers Forum has threatened to lock out all the schools and educational offices if the State Government fails to solve SSA salary issue.
The warning was issued during a meeting of ReT Teachers Forum, held at zone Dansal for discussing burning issues, which include release of SSA salary and arrears, transfer policy in favor of regularized ReT teachers as per court order and regularization of ReT teachers whose files are lying in Director Office Jammu.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rajesh Jamwal, provincial president Jammu and large number of teachers, including male and females from different parts of zone participated and discussed the burning issues.
Jamwal informed the teachers that Forum has taken a strong stand to get the issue of SSA salary addressed and if the salary of SSA teachers for the month of April is released without implementing 7th Pay Commission in favor of SSA teachers, the Forum will launch a big protest and not allow any office to work smoothly until the issue is addressed.
He said that Forum is conducting such meetings in all districts to aware the ReT teachers and requesting them to get ready for a big protest if needed.
