ReTs protest for implementation of 7th Pay Commission, de-linking of SSA salary

JAMMU, Aug 20: Up in arms against the casual approach of the Government to resolve the burning issue of implementation of 7th Pay Commission and de-linking of SSA salary, J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum held day long protests at all the District headquarters today.
At Udhampur, protest demonstration by hundreds of ReTs was led by State president Vinod Sharma, State chief coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District president Lekh Raj Parihar.
While addressing the gathering, Vinod Sharma expressed his resentment against the casual and biased approach of the Government to resolve the issue of de-linking of SSA salary and implementation of 7th Pay Commission for SSA teachers, Head Teachers and RMSA Masters. He said that due to delaying tactics of the Government forty thousand teachers and their families were suffering badly and they are forced to come on roads by closing their schools. He demanded immediate implementation of 7th Pay Commission for SSA teachers otherwise they would be forced to intensify stir.
The protest at Jammu was led by Provincial president Rajesh Jamwal and District president Subash Chander. While speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Jamwal said that the Government should stop step motherly treatment with SSA teachers and Masters.
At Poonch,   State senior vice chairman Najam Jafri and District president Shahnwaz Hussain led the protest demonstration while the protest at Ramban was led by State vice president Gulzabir Daing and District president Hari Lal Naag.
The protest at Doda was led by District president Sajad Malik while at Rajouri,   State chief spokesman Naresh Sharma and District president Manzoor Khan led the protest demonstration
At Kishtwar, District president Tahir Masood led the protest while in Samba, State convenor Raj Kumar Dubey and District president Dinesh Singh was leading the protesters. Balwan Singh, District president Reasi led the protest of ReTs at his district, whereas at Kathua, chief advisor Arvind Sharma, State organizer Mahesh Kumar, Provincial chief spokesperon Pankaj Verma and District president Rakesh Singh led the protest. Similar protests were held at other parts of State.
Meanwhile executive body of ReT Forum has threatened to intensify their stir after the holy festivals of Eid -ul-Aza and Raksha Bandhan.
