UDHAMPUR, July 2: A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of District president Lekh Raj Parihar and State chief coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria .
The meeting, which attended by the executive members of the Forum including zonal presidents, highlighted the issue of SSA salary, still pending for the last 2 to 3 months. Though 3 months salary was released recently by the Government, the salary arrears of newly regularized ReTs are still pending for a long time due to which regularized ReTs are suffering badly, the meet observed and appealed the Education Minister to make provision for the streamline of SSA salary so that these teachers and their families do not suffer any more.
The meet also demanded regularization of ReTs who have obtained degrees from UGC recognized Universities, regular as well as through distance mode and the ReTs with less enrolment whose schools have not been clubbed due to geographic conditions.
Seeking implementation of the transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers as per High Court judgement.
