JAMMU, Dec 15: Independent candidate from Suchetgarh constituency and Retd SSP, Bhupinder Singh, today visited Sai Thangali, Flora, Bega, Dangrey, Badyal Quazian, Bokri & Bajje Chak villages of Suchetgarh constituency and conducted door to door campaign.
He appealed to the people to vote for his election symbol- Scissors- on 20th December and give him a chance to serve them. “Many contesting candidates are distributing liquor to the youngsters to lure them for voting but they are not offering alcohol to their own children. They are ruining the lives of your children”, he said.
He appealed to the women folk to come out and teach a lesson to those people who are exploiting the weaknesses of youth for their vested interests. “Only the women folk can teach these people a lesson as they are the ones who bear the brunt of the men who get addicted to alcohol”, Mr Singh said and urged the people to let this election put an end to this dirty flow of alcohol and give a befitting reply to those who are garnering votes at the cost of youth.
Terming the people of Suchetgarh as “Sangat”, the retd SSP said that he sees the elections as an opportunity to serve the people and whenever he visits the people, he seeks their blessings just like Sangat is worshipped in our culture. He said that not only the Guru but Sangat is also equally sacred and pious and assured the people that Suchetgarh will be turned into a model constituency if he is voted to the Assembly.
Giving reference of States like Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Tripura where people have voted for Governments, which performed and uprooted those who plundered them, he appealed to the people of Suchetgarh to follow the same mantra and uproot those who are plundering them for the last several years.
