JAMMU, July 23: Former Chief Justice Permod Kohli today withdrew his candidature for the post of Chairman of the State Accountability Commission.
In a statement, Mr Kohli said, “I express my sincere regards and thanks to all those who have recommended / sponsored my name for the post of Chairman State Accountability Commission, J&K”, adding “due to my personnel reasons, I will not be able to take up the assignment”.
“As such, I withdraw my candidature from the post and request the Government not to consider my name for the same”, he added.
