JAMMU, Dec 10: Retired Central Armed Police Forces personnel staged protest demonstration and demanded that Government should stop discrimination against them.
A large number of retired Central Armed Police men, under the banner of Retired Central Armed Police Forces Warriors Welfare Association, J&K, led by its president, Ram Lal Dogra (Retd AC), assembled outside Press Club of Jammu in the morning at around 10.30 am and started protest demonstration.
The were also accompanied by widows of Para-military forces men. The protesting people were raising slogans in support of their demands. They alleged grave discrimination against while according benefits to then Army personnel.
Besides, the president, vice president of the Association Som Nath Sharma and general secretary Thoru Ram also spoke on the occasion. They claimed that if the Government failed to take note of their issues, they will be forced to come out on the roads along with their families.
They demanded that great difference in the wages/ salaries of the Military and Para Military Forces be removed, separate Para Military from Central Civil Service Rule, give special pay to the Para-military force men like Army, stop new pension scheme and implement the old one, implement one rank one pension scheme and give them all Canceteen benefits like defence personnel.
