SRINAGAR, Aug 17: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers (ReT) Forum has announced protest demonstration demanding implementation of Seventh Pay Commission for regularised ReT teachers and salaries for ReTs engaged under SSA to be paid from state budget after de-linking the same from MHRD.
In a handout, the Forum informed about its protest which will start from Monday (August 20) with plans to surround the Directorate at Srinagar while on the eve of Eid festival (on August 22), they will stage protest at Partap Park in Srinagar followed by Raj Bhawan March.
The handout further informed that the decision about protest was taken in a meeting of Forum at Srinagar which was chaired by Forum’s Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary and was attended by its representatives from across the State.
Forum has appealed to the Governor N.N Vohra to solve their issue as soon as it is possible.
