SRINAGAR, Jan 11: The empanelled Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) aspirants today demanded issuance of appointment orders in their favour while they also criticised the Government for delaying the process.
Scores of such ReTs assembled in the press enclave and raised slogans against the administration for what they called as making them suffer by not issuing their appointment orders.
Mayasar Ahmad one of their representative who was leading the protest lambasted the successive regimes for halting appointment orders in favour of aspirants who were empanelled in 2015-16 as ReT teachers by one or other pretext
“We are not demanding star from the sky but out legitimate right which has been snatched by the Government and which is unacceptable. We will fight tooth and nail unless and until our demand is not met,” he said.
Another ReT, Asmat Hussain said that they have also approached the High Court which issued clear cut directions in their favour. “But we have been receiving hollow assurance from all the quarters of the Government,” she said.
She said that their families are on the verge of starvation as there are no other means for them to earn their livelihood. “Ironically most of the candidates have crossed the age limit which is deepening our miseries,” she said.
The ReT appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter and issue directions to the concerned department for issuance of appointment orders in their favour.
