JAMMU, Jan 18: ReT Teachers’ Forum has decided to hold protest demonstrations at all district headquarters on 23rd of this month against the Government for ignoring their demands for a quite long time.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of State president, Vinod Sharma, who disclosed that on the same day the memorandums of demands would also be submitted to the Government through respective District Development Commissioners.
Addressing the meeting, Sharma accused the Government of providing step motherly treatment to ReT teachers by ignoring their demands, which included issuance of regularization orders of EVs, regularized two months back besides inclusion of 5 years service of ReTs for seniority benefits, transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers, SRO-43 benefits in favour of ReTs and release of salary of regularized teachers under SSA, who are without salary for last 2-6 months.
The Forum also threatened to gherao Assembly during Budget Session if their demands are not resolved till then.
