ReT Forum demands streamlining of SSA salary, transfer policy

JAMMU, Jan 28: A monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Provincial president Rajesh Jamwal and District president Jammu, Subash Chander.
The meeting attended by the executive members of the Forum, highlighted various issues and demands of the ReT cadre.
While speaking on the occasion, Jamwal highlighted the issue of SSA salary, pending for the last two months due to which SSA teachers are facing a lot of problems to meet their both ends. Besides immediate release of the SSA salary, he also demanded streamlining of the same so that thousands of SSA teachers may have a sigh of relief. Highlighting the issue of transfer of regularized ReTs, he said that in absence of transfer policy, regularized ReTs are suffering badly as they have been working in the same schools for the last more than 15 years.
While speaking on the occasion,  Subash Chander demanded regularization of ReTs having qualification from recognized universities and boards, including from NIOS. He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs having less enrollment in their schools as their files are pending for the last more than 2 years. He also demanded the release of Mid Day Meal dues pending for the year 2017 due to which teachers are facing a lot of problems to run the MDM scheme in their schools as they have been spending the amount from their own pockets.
Others,  who also spoke on the occasion, included Jasvir Singh, Dinesh Singh, Devi Das,  Shabir Ahmed, Mohd Farooq,  Daleep Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Manohar Lal, Pritam Lal, Sham Lal, Sohan Singh and  Mohd Salim.
