ReT Forum demands release of pending salary before Diwali

UDHAMPUR, Oct 20: An emergency meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the presidium of State President Vinod Sharma, State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that teachers Grade lll, newly regularised ReTs and Un-regularised ReTs are without salary for the last 8 months and these teachers are facing acute difficulties to provide basic necessities of life, including proper food and clothing to their children and required medicines to their old and ailing parents. He added that NPS teachers were also without salary for last 3-4 months and hence suffering badly.
Vinod Sharma urged upon the Governor administration to come forward for the rescue of these teachers by releasing their salaries/dues before Diwali so that they may be able to celebrate the festival. He also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to convert left out graduates / undergraduates to teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III respectively and issue regularization list of Un-regularised ReTs.
