JAMMU, Oct 20: Members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice have urged upon the BSNL authorities to release pending 14 months’ salary of watch & ward employees of BSNL tower & 11 month rent of the tower sites immediately.
The members also demanded that monthly charges to watch and ward employees of BSNL should be released on monthly basis without any delay in future.
They appealed to the Chief General Manager, BSNL & Principal General Manager BSNL Mobiles J&K to personally intervene and redress the genuine grievances of watch & ward employees’ of mobile towers and also fix rent as per private companies like Airtel, Reliance Jio, Idea, Voda phone etc at the rate of Rs. 10,000 per month in municipal limits & Rs. 7000 in rural areas.
They further demanded a hike in the salary of watch & ward employees from Rs. 3000 to 5000 per month at par with private companies.
