Sir,
It has been eight months since high speed internet has been curtailed in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
At a time when pan India is under lockdown and the denizens of J&K are struggling to get their work done from home which otherwise Government too advises to do and practice “Social distancing” they are being provided with decade old second generation of the Internet (2G). Educational Institutions across India are providing digital(online) classes to students but unfortunately students of Jammu and Kashmir are barred from such initiatives due to non-availability of high speed internet services.
In such a petrified hysteria where the whole globe is combating the highly contagious “SARS-COV-2” the people of J&K must have the access to proper health and safety related information. Nowadays internet has become requisite platform for dissemination of information regarding the mitigation measures adopted by the Government to combat this fatal virus. Hence in this time Government must act vigilantly and restore full internet services at the earliest keeping in mind the vigorous health of the people.
