Article “Restoration of democratic set up” by B L Saraf dt 13th Jan 2020 is good and reflects the current problems of Union Territory of J&K but has advice to resume political activity by releasing detained politicians does not sound good. I would like to tell Mr Saraf that these politicians have looted the J&K State for the last 70 years. Jammu and Ladakh were discriminated badly since the day Maharaja’s rule ceased to exist. Projects for Jammu region were never taken seriously. Tawi lake project, Mubarak Mandi renovation, BC Road flyover, gandola project are some of the glaring failures of corrupt politicians. Even the prestigious super sepciality hospital is not being run properly. We must be thankful to Modiji and Shahji for taking the historical decision of scrapping of Article 370. Our future generation will remain indebted to them. I can say with confidence that all the Jammuites want J&K region to remain a U.T. so that the region develops rapidly and the corrupt politicians remain out of power.
