Rest House for JK pilgrims inaugurated in Amritsar

JAMMU, Mar 15: A grand Gurmat Smagam was organised today at Amritsar near Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) in connection with the inauguration of a new building of Rest House by Mahant Manjit Singh of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib for the pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir.
A large number of devotees from J&K and other States besides leaders of political and social organizations including Rangil Singh, Ex-Minister, Mohinder Singh, chief organizer, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K, Paramjit Singh, president, AISSF, Ramnik Singh, senior NC leader, Kulwant Singh, chief advisor, Sikh Naujawan Sabha and Dharminder Singh Bhargav, president, JK Medical Employees Federation participated in the programme.
The Rest House named ‘Nangli Niwas’ has been erected to accommodate pilgrims from J&K, who usually fail to get accommodation during rush and peak season whenever they visit Golden Temple.
Built in an area of one kanal, the Rest House consists of 21 rooms with bathrooms. All the rooms have been built with modern technique by providing each and every facility for pilgrims visiting the Golden Temple.
After the Bhog of Akhand Path, the Ragies recited Shabad Kirtan. The langar was also served to the devotees. Other personalities from J&K present on the occasion were Ranjit Singh, member, JKSGPB, Dr Jaswant Singh, Gajan Singh, Kapoor Singh Dutta and Lakhbir Singh Bawa.
