JAMMU, Apr 26: Water scarcity for the last five days in Chandan Vihar area of Muthi has created lot of resentment among the residents and they warned to launch agitation against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department.
The residents of Chandan Vihar held a meeting and said that for the past over five days, there is no water supply in the area, which has created manifold problems for the people especially for housewives for preparing food.
“We approached concerned PHE officials several times but nothing has been done in this regard”, they alleged.
They added that the officials failed to restore the water supply in the area, which is compelling the people to come on roads and hold protest against PHE Department.
“If the water supply was not restored in next 24 hours, the people will come on roads and for any untoward incident PHE Department will be responsible”, they warned.
