Residents express concern over movement of suspicious ladies

JAMMU, Aug 23: The residents living in Sector 7 of Trikuta Nagar have expressed concern over the movement of the ladies hailing from Afghan Mohallah area near Railway Station Jammu.
The residents said that for the third time, they noticed movement of ladies living in Afghan Mohallah near Railway Station Jammu in their area.
“The ladies are visiting houses in our area to enquire about rooms on rent so as to gather the information about the people living in the houses”, the residents said, adding that they (ladies) are also keeping eye on the CCTV cameras installed in their area.
The people living in Afghan Mohallah are Rohingyas and other outsiders, the residents said, alleging that Afghan Mohallah area near Railway Station Jammu is hub of illegal activities.
However, Station House Officer (SHO) Bahu Fort Police Station Inspector Deepak Pathania on getting this information held interaction with the residents. In hour long discussion, the cop noticed the issues raised by the people.
SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania assured full support from the Police Department and action against those wandering aimlessly in the area.
He also assured regular patrolling in the area to thwart the nefarious designs of the ladies, who were moving aimlessly in the area and had created fear fiasco among the residents.
