Republic Day celebrations to now begin from January 23 every year to include Subash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary

New Delhi: The Republic Day celebrations will now begin from January 23 every year instead of January 24 to include Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary.

The Narendra Modi government had earlier started the celebration of Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary as Parakram Divas.

The recent decision is in line with the Central government’s focus on celebrating or commemorating important aspects of India’s history and culture (Agencies)
