JAMMU, May 9: More reports have poured in for the celebration of Mother’s Day with jubilation and zeal, today.
An appealing function was organized to celebrate Mother’s Day in the premises of Delhi Public School, Jammu. The programme began with the sacred ceremony of lighting of lamp followed by welcome address by Meenu Gupta, headmistress who described mother’s love, her gentle touch and caring attitude towards her children as lifeline of their life.
On the occasion, Dr Sapna Gupta was guest of honour, Sushma Chaugan, vice chairperson, JDA, was chief guest.
Stephens International Public School organized ‘Mother’s Day’ programme in the school premises. The mothers were treated to a wonderful performance of songs and dances, highlighting the various roles played by mothers.
The mothers were so excited to perform that it seemed as if their childhood had retreated. The Director of the school Satvinder Saini was the chief guest. . Rama Jamwal Vice Principal thanked all those who had worked to make it a special day for the mothers. Around 100 mothers participated in solo song / solo dance and craft competition. The Principal of the School B.N. Sarkar was also present on the occasion.
KC Gurukul Public School Paloura celebrated Mother’s Day today. Students from classes 1st to 5th showed their love and gratitude towards mothers by presenting heart-touching songs and dances. Students admired their mothers for the strength and determination that inspires them to pursue a better life. Chairman Arvind Mahajan and Academic Director Vijay Puri, wished all the mothers Happy Mothers Day and ask God’s blessings on them so that they can continue their demanding role until the end. Headmistress Mamta Singh, thanked and appreciated all the teachers who play the role as mothers and help the students to gain all the knowledge through hardwork and determination.
Heaven’s Angels, a playway school and Heaven Kingdom High School Janki Vihar, Janipur celebrated Mother’s Day with enthusiasm and zeal. Renu Sachdeva, Principal threw light on the role of the mother. She said mother encouraged the students to fulfil their duties towards their mother who is epitome of love. The students made beautiful cards for their mothers on this occasion.

The students from classes 4th to 7th sport in a beautiful way about how a mother is important in life and no one else can do what a mother does for a child the emotions of the little ones were appreciating as day really spoke from heart. At the same time pre-primary and 1st, 2nd, 3rd made beautiful coloured cards for their mother’s.
Principal Ravinder Kour gave a short speech on the occasion and spoke about how the mother bring up their children so their should also care for their parents.
Humming Buds the Pre-School of MIER (Model Academy) celebrated ‘Mother’s Day’ at the B.C. Road and Residency Road branches in honor of all the mothers who shower selfless devotion on their children without any expectations.
The celebration started with a teacher talk in the morning assembly highlighting the irreplaceable place mothers have in our lives. Kids were taught to be more appreciative towards all that their mothers do for them right from making their food, helping them with homework, telling them stories and putting them to bed.
Ruchika Gupta, Project Director Humming Buds, praised the effort of the children and teachers for the beautiful performances and opined that ‘Motherhood’ is the most precious gift of God to any woman. She appreciated the efforts all mothers put in bringing up their children and paid rich tributes to them.
St Stephen’s convent school, Sukhani, Talab Sarore celebrated Mother’s day in school premises and card making completion was held in which children make different cards for their mother’s and also cultural programme was held in the school. A special assembly was held to aware the children’s about mother’s day importance.
