JAMMU, Feb 12: The Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) has urged the State Government to remove pay anomalies of the clerical and other cadre before the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the State.
Addressing a press conference here today president of the Front, Mohd Gafoor Dar said that the employees were staging protests and dharnas besides holding rallies and sending representations to the ministers and bureaucrats during past 3-4 years demanding removal of pay anomalies, regularization of need base, temporary/ daily rated workers, merger of 50 % DA in the basic pay etc, but the Government has remained mute spectator.
The demands of the employees and other unions have not been taken up seriously. Even the fate of ICDS workers of various Anganwadi workers and helpers has not been decided by the higher authorities. Mr Dar strongly demanded that pay anomaly of clerical cadre be removed before the implementation of 7th Pay Commission Report in the State. He also demanded immediate withdrawal of termination order of Anganwadi workers and helpers issued by the Mission Director on 22-4-2015 which stand stayed by the High Court; amendment in recruitment rules of various departments and time bound promotions of the employees in Sheep Husbandry Department.
The NTUF leader declared that to lodge their strong protest against the Government, the employees under the banner of J&K National Trade Union Front will hold protest demonstration on February 25. He alleged that Government has miserably failed to address the genuine issues of the workers. Trade unionists Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Moulvi and Peeeran Ditta also spoke on the occasion.
