JAMMU, May 7: Thousands of devotees thronged the Gurukul at Barnai near here on the concluding day of week long religious discourses given by Swami Dinesh Bharti, a spiritual saint.
The week long religious discourses of Mata Vaishno Devi started on May 1 and a large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu thronged the venue of religious function daily. The devotees also paid their obeisance to Swami Ji during the function who described Mata Vaishno Devi as the incarnation of Maa Shakti -the Godess of power.
Swami Ji said the dharma leads to salvation of mankind and also rids the society form all evils and those who deviate from the path of dharma are trapped in bad society and face problems in life.
Swami Ji said he has undertaken a mission to construct a grand temple of Mata Kali at Galwade Chak in Marh block of Jammu district at an estimated cost of over Rs five crore. He appealed the devotees for generous donations for the cause.
Swami Dinesh Bharti said earlier he had constructed a grand temple of Mata Vaishno at an estimated cost of Rs 1.35 crore in the area.
During the religious function a hawan was performed daily by Swami Ji. The religious function will conclude tomorrow with serving of bhandara to devotees.
The function was organized by Prabhu Dayal Gupta senior vice president VHP and a social activist.
