SAMBA, Dec 2: MLA Hiranagar Durga Dass, accompanied by DDC Samba R.K Varma today distributed relief cheques among 151 beneficiaries of Rajpura and Ghagwal Niabat whose houses have been damaged by incessant rainfall/flash floods during monsoon in a camp organized at Rajpura.
While addressing the gathering, Durga Dass said that main aim of organizing this camp is to provide help to the beneficiaries at the door steps. He appreciated the work of district administration in preparing relief cases by framing various committees by the District Development Commissioner, Samba.
It was informed that this was the fifth relief distribution camp and similar types of camps will also be organized at other places shortly to distribute the relief cheques to the affected families under SDRF. Among others Assistant Commissioner (Rev) M.Y Malik, Sarpanchs Panchs and large number of people attended the function.
