JAMMU, Jan 9: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) has urged upon the Government to release five months’ pending wages of PHE workers before Lohri festival.
In a meeting of the Association held here today at Dhounthly Water Station, under the chairmanship of Subhash Verma, the speakers urged upon the Chief Engineer PHE Jammu to release the pending wages of the workers. Verma also demanded that Government must start the wages regularization process under the purview of SRO 520. He said that all those workers who have rendered three years’ service be treated as regular workers. He said the left out workers should also be projected in the portal being prepared for recognizing workers and also conduct DPC of all cadre.
