JAMMU, Jan 9: Khour police today arrested a man for carrying illicit liquor.
According to a police official, a police party of police station Khour laid a special naka at Thanger Chowk. During checking, police party signaled one person to stop for checking but on seeing the police, he tried to escape.
“The alert cops, however, chased the man and arrested him. During search of his belonging, 25 pouches of J&K excise liquor, was recovered from his possession”, he said, adding, in this regard, a case FIR No 04/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Khour and further investigation of case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by SHO, police station Khour, SI Jeet Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Munish Anand and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh.
