Release wages of ReTs, EVs, SPOs on Diwali: NPP

Excelsior Correspondent
Jammu, Oct 30: Strongly flaying the State Govt for its failure to release the pending salaries and wages of ReTs, daily rated, contractual, casual besides several other categories of ministerial staff which were unpaid for the last several months, Chairman of the JKNPP Harshdev Singh regretted the despicable apathy shown by the ruling coalition towards the concerns of lower rung employees.
He deplored that despite  Dewali season having approached the State Govt closed the secretariat offices without making any announcement with regard to the release of wages, salaries as well as arrears of the workers and employees who had suspended their protests and agitations on the promises of the Govt assuring expeditious clearance of their pending claims.
Making a particular mention of the daily wagers, casuals and CPs workers of PDD, PHE, R&B, I&FC, Forests, Tourism and Tourism Development authorities, Mr Singh regretted that the said categories of workers were forced to work like bonded labourers without paying their meagre wages for months together. He demanded that their wages be released before Diwali.
