JAMMU, Mar 3: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) president and senior JCC member Abdul Qayoom Wani has urged upon the State Government to resolve pending issues of the employees and workers.
In a press statement issued here today Mr Wani stressed upon the new Government that the regularization of daily wagers, casual labours and rehabilitation of flood victims need first priority for immediate redressal. He said that the temporary/ contractual employees of Jammu and Kashmir who are working under mental stress and strain due to negative attitude of authorities are facing a lot of problems and difficulties.
With the formation of the new Government led by Mufti Sayeed they hope that this Government will expedite the regularization process of daily wagers/casual labours and rehabilitation of flood victims of the State on priority.
Mr Wani pointed out that employees are being compelled to come on roads for the release of 17% DA which is a routine process. He stressed upon the Government that employees of State have been victimized unnecessarily and their issues need solutions on priority. He also stressed that eradication of corruption and improvement in the work culture is need of the hour and this is the only way to provide justice to the suppressed people of the State.
He appealed the Chief Minister for implementing the agreement reached between the Government and JCC on issues of regularization of daily rated workers, pay anomalies of different grades and other issues.
