Refined soya oil futures remain weak on low demand

NEW DELHI, June 26: Refined soya oil prices eased by another 0.14 per cent to Rs 743.10 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators reduced their holdings owing to slackened spot demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July month fell by Rs 1.05, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 743.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,240 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month August contracts shed Re 1, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 747.10 per 10 kg in 18,320 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants following easing demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from growing regions mainly put pressure on refined soya oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
