Refined soya oil futures extend losses on muted demand

NEW DELHI, July 12: Refined soya oil prices went down by 0.20 per cent to Rs 755 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in reducing holdings tracking a weak trend at the spot market on easing demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August declined by Rs 1.50, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 755 per 10 kg with an open interest of 43,680 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in July was trading lower by 75 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 752 per 10 kg in 24,160 lots.
Traders said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in the physical markets against sufficient stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept refined soya oil prices weak at futures trade. (PTI)
