NOWSHERA, May 26: Government of India under the leadership of Narendra Modi is committed for infusing a change in governance, generating much-desired sense of purpose to fulfill aspirations of the people.
This was reiterated by the Minister for Transport Abdul Ghani Kohli during a public meeting held here today.
He said that the Government is making all out efforts to provide transparent and accountable governance which has given a boost to the country’s image in the international community.
Recounting various initiatives like Jan Dhan Yojana,Beti Bachao,Jeevan Suraksha Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana, Kohli said that no accomplishment can be as gratifying and endearing as to give impetus to the growth of weaker section of society which our Prime Minister has ensured by launching these schemes.
He added that reaching out to the people, knowing their problems and putting all efforts to give on spot redressal is my priority and stressed that the Government has to be made people friendly at the grass root level and basic amenities should be provided at the door steps. He appealed people to work unitedly for the cause of development, adding the people of Nowshera constituency have always followed the ethos of brotherhood, amity and tolerance. He said that power in a democratic set up lies with the people and it’s they who have to preserve the secular fabric of the state.
MLA Ravinder Raina on the occasion appreciated the initiatives of Government of India under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and said that he ensured social security of the poor and vulnerable sections of the society and set up in motion a comprehensive strategy for inclusive and rapid economic development,”.
