JAMMU, Feb 8: District Red Cross Society today distributed blankets among 250 poor and needy women in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
Former NC MLA, Bimla Luthra, was the chief guest in the function, which was organized by Suresh Sharma, secretary, District Red Cross Society and Jugal Mahajan.
While distributing blankets among the poor women, Bimla Luthra, said, “District Red Cross Society helps the poor and needy people time to time. Whenever a tragedy happens, Red Cross Society came to the help of the affected people”.
She hoped that Red Cross Society will continue to help the poor and downtrodden people in future also. Suresh Sharma and other officials of Red Cross also spoke on the occasion.
