JAMMU, Nov 27: Co-Incharge of State Coordination Committee of Aam Aadmi Party, Mehraj Malik has asked Jammu and Kashmir Government to ensure that elaborate security arrangements remain in place for maintenance of peace terming worrisome the recent recoveries of Improvised Explosive Devises (IEDs) even from a passenger minibus.
Addressing a press conference today, Mehraj Malik said that J&K is a sensitive region with security always remains a concern for maintenance of peace and order. He added that in last couple of days, recovery of explosives (IEDs) from different locations has created a cause of concern.
“IEDs have been recovered recently in different areas that include Ramban, Kulgam and Shopian and this all is a serious concern as it shows that attempts are being made to disrupt peace in J&K,” said Malik.
He said that J&K Government as well as Ministry of Home Affairs should make it sure that all attempts to disrupt peace are foiled and situation remains peaceful in all aspects.
Malik alleged that Government is otherwise insensitive towards issues of security concern as seen in soft target killings that take place in Kashmir and Government paid no concern except issuing statements of condemnation.
