KATRA, Dec 25: Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Championship, organized by Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Association under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and under the banner of J&K State Sports Council, concluded at Kalka Akhara, Reasi today.
The championship was held under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and general Secretary Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri).
Forty two wrestlers from various Tehsils and Akharas participated in seven weight categories of 42 Kg, 50 Kg, 55 Kg, 61 Kg, 67 Kg, 75 Kg and 85 Kg. Overall championship went to Kalka Akhara Reasi scoring 23 points.
DySP Head Quarter Reasi Nikhal Gogna was the chief guest on the occasion who presented Medals and Certificates to the winners and runners-up wrestlers in presence of Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, retired Tehsildar Bansi Lal Tidyal who is also General Secretary of State Wrestling Association.
