Army Goodwill School Ahgom celebrates 18th Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 25: The Army Goodwill School (AGS) Ahgom today celebrated its 18th Annual day function with great zeal and zest.
Sunita Singh, wife of Brigadier Harbir Singh, SM Commander 12 Sector RR, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The event was marked by excellent entertainment programs being presented by the school children in terms of cultural events, speech by the head girl, head boy and the subsequent distribution of prizes among students by the worthy chief guest.
Students who have performed exceedingly well in academics and sports were rewarded, whereas outstanding teachers were also facilitated.
The chief guest also addressed the gathering at the end of the event and praised the efforts of the teachers in carrying out overall development of the students.
She wished the school a successful academic session ahead.
AGS Ahgom, has been constructed and run by the army under the aegis of Victor Force with the mission to provide better educational facilities and and a secure environment to the children of Ahgom and surrounding villages.
The school was inaugurated on May 7, 2000 by the former Union Home Minister, L K Advani.
