SAMBA, Oct 26: Senior Congress leader and Member, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Arun Sharma today held a party workers meeting at Vijaypur and directed them to reach every individual for party candidate’s victory in upcoming Legislative Assembly elections.
A large number of party workers and delegates attended the meeting and highlighted several issues and points.
While addressing the workers, Sharma asked them to go door to door and highlight achievements of the party, which is secular in nature, worked for independence and helps people of weaker section including SC, ST, OBC, BPL, handicapped and ALC categories.
He said National Conference and PDP are Kashmir based parties and has always discriminated with Jammu region whenever they were in power while BJP cheated the people of the State in year 2008, when 7 out of its 11 MLAs allegedly gave buyed support to NC. Now they are crying again Modi, Modi, 44+ but they have no other issue to fight elections in J&K.
Meanwhile, Sharma deployed about 50 party workers for doing door to door campaign of the party.
Those present were Bishamber Singh Slathia, Sardhari Lal Verma, Onkar Singh, Pt Jog Raj, Som Dutt, Pt Lal Chand, Suresh Verma, Des Raj Verma and many others.
