Army organizes Volleyball Tournament

JAMMU, Oct 26: A Volleyball Tournament was organized in association with Indian Army unit 14 Rashtriya Rifles at Sonarwani, Bandipora in the Valley.
A total of 12 teams participated in the event.
The matches were played on knockout basis in preliminary phase, which were followed by quarterfinals and semifinals on October 24 and October 25 respectively.
In summit clash, Danger Club of Chakrishipura and Kansari Club of Sonarwani went all-out.
In an exciting contest, Kansari Club emerged as winner.
Prominent among others present on the occasion was president District Sports Organization Bandipora.
Praising the efforts of Indian Army, one and all deliberated on the importance of sports to ameliorate the mental and physical development and in turn constructive nation building.
