JAMMU, Aug 28: The Rural Development Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd (RDMCL) today opened two branches, one each at Kana-Chak in Marh and Janipur Housing Colony.
The branches were formally opened in the presence of RDMCL Chairman and MD, Surjeet Singh who interacted with the people on the occasions. He informed that more branches of the bank would be opened very soon at new locations in Jammu district such as Sohanjna, Bishnah, Akhnoor and R S Pura.
Mr Singh appealed local departments, State Government and other private agencies to open their all types of accounts in the Rural Development Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd at Marh, Rajpura, Muthi, Kana-Chak and Janipur Housing Colony for better and quick banking services. The bank will provide services of Saving, Current and Recurring Accounts to the traders besides fixed deposits, he added.
“Our objective is to provide short term, MT Loan facilities for trading, agriculture purpose to farmers and members of the co-operative, including marginal farmers,” Mr Singh said.
Those who were present at the inaugurations included Sanjay Gupta, Tarsem Kumar, S K Tikoo, Master Kewal Krishan, Panchayat members of Kana-Chak and prominent citizens of the area.
