JAMMU, Apr 25: Ravinder Singh, President, Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir, has been re-elected as the Joint Secretary of the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) during the annual general meeting and elections of the body held at Nainital, Uttarakhand, today.
As per a statement, Pankaj Singh, MLA and son of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, was elected unanimously as the President of CFI, Manindar Pal Singh as Secretary General and Sudesh Kumar as Treasurer for the next term.
“I am excited to be given this responsibility. This is an opportunity for me to work more the game of cycling not just in J&K but in the entire country,” Ravinder Singh said in the statement.
Meanwhile, SS Gill, Secretary General of Cycling Association of J&K, has been appointed as the member of Athlete Commission of CFI during AGM of CFI.
“Inclusion of both the office bearers of Cycling Association of J&K in the Apex Body of the Cycling at the National level will definitely help promoting the game of cycling in the Union Territory of J&K to further heights,” said SS Gill.
