Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath to be taken out on Apr 18

JAMMU, Apr 9: The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be taken out on April 18 here from Red Cross Bhawan, Kachhi Chawani to Kashmir Hills Resort, Patta Bohri.
This was disclosed today by Navayogendra Swami Ji Maharaj while addressing a press conference along with members of Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra Committee.
Elaborating more, he said that the procession of Lord Jagannath will start from Red Cross Bhawan (City Palace) Kachhi Chawni, at 12 noon and will pass through Parade, Shalamar, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazar, Shahidi Chowk, Raghunath Mandir, Indira Chowk, Gummat, Vinayak Bazar, Canal Road, Talab Tillo, Bohri and will reach Kashmir Hills Resort, Patta Borhi, Jammu at around 7 pm where prasad will be served to the devotees.
He further informed that prior to the Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra on April 18, Maha Aarti Utsav of the Lord will be held here at City Palace on April 17 from 5 pm onwards, wherein 56 Bhoga (foodstuffs) will be offered to the Lord. “This will be followed by Gaur Aarti in which there will be offering of 108 Aarties to Lord Jagannath, Baldeva and Subhadra.
